Waterproof rain jacket
Your jacket has a DWR coating. To ensure that the water-repellent properties are maintained, you should reactivate the impregnation from time to time by applying heat.
The easiest way to do this is in the tumble dryer (gentle cycle) at around 60 degrees for around 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can iron the jacket at low heat (be sure to place a cloth between the jacket and the iron!) or point a hairdryer at the jacket from a distance.
Wash the rain jacket - but wash it properly
Rain jackets should be washed from time to time, otherwise the pores of the membrane can become clogged with dirt, grease and sweat residue.
You can wash your jacket in the washing machine at 30 degrees - if possible without a spin cycle. You can pre-treat heavily soiled areas such as collars or cuffs with a soft brush.
It's best to use a mild detergent or a special detergent for outdoor/sports clothing. Fabric softeners or bleach are taboo.
The jacket's zipper should be kept closed during the washing process to avoid damage. After washing, let the jacket air dry.
