What triathlon distances are there?

There are five common triathlon distances:
  1. Super Sprint Distance : The Super Sprint Distance is a short distance suitable for beginners. The length is 0.25-0.5 km swimming, 10-20 km cycling and 2.5-5 km running.
  2. Sprint distance : The sprint distance is more demanding. The length is 0.5-0.75 km swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running.
  3. Short distance (Olympic distance) : The short distance is one of the most well-known triathlon distances. The length is 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.
  4. Middle distance : The middle distance is a longer distance that places high demands on body and mind. The length is 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running.
  5. Long distance (Ironman) : The long distance, also known as Ironman, is the longest and most demanding triathlon distance. The length is 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running.
No matter what distance you choose, a triathlon challenges body and mind and requires hard work and perseverance. However, it's also a great challenge and a great way to improve your fitness and achieve personal bests.
